Upgrading or changing plan¶
Can I move to a faster tier later?¶
Yes. As your needs grow you can move to a higher bandwidth tier. To change your plan, start from the client area or contact support@clearstreamer.com, and we'll coordinate the change.
Will my endpoint and credentials stay the same after an upgrade?¶
Upgrades are designed to keep your existing service — your endpoint and keys continue to work. If anything about your connection details changes, you'll be told in advance.
Can I downgrade to a smaller tier?¶
Downgrades aren't supported. Tier changes move you up to a higher bandwidth plan. If your needs have genuinely shrunk, talk to support@clearstreamer.com about options.
Is there downtime when I upgrade?¶
A move within the same hardware class applies quickly with minimal disruption. A move that requires a larger node is coordinated so impact is kept short. We'll set expectations for your specific change before it happens.
How is the price difference handled?¶
Billing for plan changes is prorated through your account. See Invoices & renewals, or ask support for a quote before you commit.
How long does an upgrade take?¶
Same-class changes are fast. Changes that involve provisioning a larger node take a little longer while the new capacity comes online — support will give you a timeframe.
What if something goes wrong during a change?¶
Contact support@clearstreamer.com. Because your node is dedicated, support can look directly at your service and resolve it.
