Dedicated CDN Node

What is the Dedicated CDN Node?

It's the server that delivers your S3 access, reserved for your account. Your endpoint points at it and your bandwidth tier is allocated on it — it isn't shared with other customers.

What exactly is dedicated to me?

Your node and its bandwidth allocation. You aren't competing with other customers for throughput on it, which is what makes performance predictable.

Do I have to administer the node?

No. It's fully managed — there's no OS to patch, no software to maintain, no SSH. You use the S3 endpoint and nothing else. See The CDN node concept.

Can I install software or run my own services on it?

No. The node delivers ZenDRIVE S3 Access; it isn't a general-purpose server you log into. If you have a specific need, ask support@clearstreamer.com.

Does each service have its own node?

Yes — one dedicated node per service, each with its own endpoint and credentials. Order additional services for more capacity or other regions.

Can my node be resized?

Bandwidth tiers can change as you grow. See Upgrading or changing plan.

What if my node needs maintenance?

Maintenance is handled for you. If anything affects your service, contact support@clearstreamer.com and support can look directly at your dedicated node.
